People think having Donald Trump as president is tragic but have they ever thought about all the tragic things that happened in the past. Slavery. Word War I. World War II. People tortured. Many killed. Guns fired. Families separated. Genocide. The Sudanese civil wars were both a bad tragic time for Sudan, however, these events differ in how they started, one was because of the government and the southern rebels and the other was because of the underlying cause of conflict in the autonomy. Shots fired. People Dead. The first Sudanese civil war was a tragic time for everyone. 17 years of fighting. Genocide. People lost. Many things happened during this time. Peace agreements signed for south autonomy. Children and women used as slaves. Mass murders, A total of 22 years of fighting. And over 2 million people dying. Mass murders were problems when the civil wars were taking place. “the civilian death toll is one of the highest of any war since World War II and was marked by a large number of human rights violations and mass killings.” (Military) Mass murders were big problems. They lost a lot of population and people. And both wars combined lasted 22 years. “lasted for 22 years and is one of the longest civil wars on record. The war resulted in the independence of South Sudan six years after the war ended.”(The making of the Sudanese) 22 year of fighting and they still aren’t fighting to this day. Mass murders has to do with over 2 million people dying because it wouldn’t have happened if there weren’t any mass murders. These two wars put together become a genocide because of the mass murders and over 2 million people
