Success In My Life Essay

Drinking, smoking, drugs all things I was doing before it all came to a screeching halt. All things I was doing before I found out I was going to be a mother. The thing that makes me the most successful in life would have to be my son. I truly believe that he saved my life, because if it wasn't for him I don’t know what would have happened to me. I was on a downward spiral to myself and others. He is the reason I do anything in my life. He makes me a better person and, more than anything he makes me the person that I am today. When I found out that I was welcoming a beautiful baby boy into my life, I knew I needed to make a change. At that moment, I decided I was going to be the best mother I could be. I was going to change my entire life to make sure he was taken care of. I could do everything in my power to make sure that he had everything he could want or need.
Without the birth of my son I wouldn't be the women that I am today, and I believe that day i was the most successful I have ever been in my life. They hooked me up and made sure my son was okay and still breeched. After they made sure everything was okay, they told me that it was 10 min until surgery. I had to go into the surgical room by myself, it was terrifying. They gave my spinal blocker and laid me down and I waited for the doctor to come in. Dr. Loftis was amazing he helped keep me calm he even played music to try and help. I had an easy surgery I got to be awake and know what was going on the entire time. Finally, he began the surgery and I was minutes away from meeting Alexander Russell. After about 5 minutes I welcomed my baby boy into the world to the sound of Drops Of Jupiter by Train.
