Throughout life, people desire achievement in varying ways. People attain their successes by accomplishing different achievements. The dictionary defines success as a favorable result or desired outcome through the achievement of goals. Although, society tends to define being successful as inhabiting wide ranges of fortune and fame while others see success deriving from personal accomplishments. Therefore, success varies depending on the mind of the individual and takes on various forms. On the news or in magazines, the people deemed as most successful tend to surround themselves with expensive items. Most of society measures the amount of success with money and materialism. Sports cars, mansions, and yachts are all factors that play into this formula. Many believe that in order to …show more content…
Success is not only obtained by wealth, but also gained through personal satisfaction within the mind. Achieving personal goals allow people to feel successful. Whether obtaining higher grades or graduating high school, personal goals define another form of success. A football team winning the state championship through determination exemplifies this. In addition, pursuing features of a bucket list equals a sense of success for most people. Personal contentment with former and continuous achievements allows for a triumph unlike wealthy fulfillment. Whether seen as something associated with fortune or personal gratification, success allows for people to have a common goal. While attempting to fulfill their dreams, people always stay motivated. One who strives for success must be consistent. For instance, a runner cannot win one race and stop practicing afterward. Therefore, fulfillment is not just achieving a goal, it is the journey that surrounds it as well. The journey of satisfaction accompanies any form of success and does not end after a single
