Success Definition Essay

Superior Essays
The ability to accomplish goals and to see my achievements making others proud is my definition of success. Accomplishing goals can range from completing the laundry to making the Dean’s list or getting a raise at work. Being able to complete a goal, big or small, is my definition of success. Sometimes these goals are simple and are mine and mine only. However, I also value success is when others around me are proud of me for achieving my goals. In my college environment I set many goals. Some moments my goal may be to complete a homework assignment on time, while other moments my goal is to get a high grade on an exam. Having the ability to complete these goals is when I feel successful. My lack of other students around me in college is what helps me achieve these goals. Currently, I do not live on campus that resulted in me not having friends at college that I interact with. I go to class and then continue on about my day outside of campus. In the past when I lived on campus and I had other friends and students around me I was easily distracted. I was not as successful then as I am now. My work family is very essential to my success. At work I have many personal goals that I set that my coworkers are also aware of. They do there best to help me in whatever way they can. When I achieve a goal they are always positive and uplifting. If I ever fail to meet a goal they are very helpful in offering suggestions on what I could differently in the future to help achieve the goal next time. According to Clement Stone’s question I would have to say that my work family offers a very positive and helpful environment that I hold accountable to my success. If they see I have achieved a large goal and they are proud and joyful. I believe it is easier to be a good leader when you are surrounded with others who believe in your abilities and who are also
