What is Success? Success is something everyone desires to have accomplished in life. Success to some people is the fact of just achieving wealth, respect, or having fame. Success to me is not all about how much money you make or is not about how much of something you can obtain, but rather obtaining the life in which you are attempting to achieve. Success is not only setting but also accomplishing the goals that I have given myself to live a happy life because it is important for my personal goals, career goals, and for my family goals. When we halt and reflect about what life would be like if we actually completed our main goal in life, we get very excited. Personal goals are important because we want to be proud of who we have become and what we have accomplished in life. Sometimes we also want to make others proud too, such as your parents, spouse, or kids. My personal goal for myself when I was eighteen, I wanted to go to college and make my parents proud to have a daughter who went to college after high school. I would have been the first in my family to go to college, but that did not happen. I made a few choices that lead me off that path …show more content…
Knowing you made it through all those tough years of college work and now you have a good career in which you enjoy doing. My career goals are not about working crazy hours to make lots of money. My career goals are to have a descent-paying job, with the right hours so I can enjoy my family and myself. Money is not everything to me. My goal is to become a foreign language teacher at a high school. Yes, I know in North Carolina teachers do not make as much, but I know that I have good hours, I get holidays off, I get to retire after twenty-five or thirty years of teaching, and I will have the same schedule as my kids while they are in school. What more could I ask for? That is being successful in finding happiness within my future
