The daughter supports the democratic party while the father supports the republican party. By supporting different parties that means that they both have different beliefs on how the country should be ruined. For two people to be considered the same they have to have the same priorities in their minds. A great example that shows their different beliefs was when Walter Mondale chose Geraldine Ferraro as his running mate and the daughter posted a picture of it on the refrigerator door. But mysteriously the paper ended up in the other side of the room in the trash. The daughter claims that one similarity that they have is that they both support the constitution. But they both support different parts of the constitution. The daughter heavily supports the first amendment, but the father supports the second amendment. They both have different political beliefs and that is what sets them apart. Another way that the father and the daughter are both different is in the things that they are passionate about. The father is passionate about guns that is obvious because he is a gunsmith, working with guns is his profession. While his daughter is passionate about art. An example of this is that the father spent most of his time in the garage making rifle barrels while the daughter will stay in her room reading Allen Ginsberg
