Stuffed toys come in various different shapes, sizes, and colours. They can be designed in the form of humans, animals, and fictional characters. Stuffed toys originated in the 1830s in the form of stuffed animals and rag dolls. They were made form cloth and straw. In 1880, stuffed toys developed into a similar product to what we see today. They were redesigned with cottons, silk, synthetic fibres, and other expensive materials. Small beans were used to stuff the toys which meant they could be thrown around and played with. The most popular of all stuffed toys is the teddy bear, which originated in the 1920s and was inspired by a drawing of President Theodore Roosevelt. The introduction and improvements in technologies in stuffed animals resulted in the installation of lights, speakers, recordable settings, motion sensors and many more technical settings.
Stuffed toys are used by people of all ages. Children use these toys as play mates whilst also experiencing many educational and life lessons throughout their play, unknown to themselves. Adults often gift one another teddy bears and other stuffed animals on occasions such as Valentine’s Day, as they provide a symbol of love, warmth, and comfort. Surprisingly, stuffed toys are even used by for the elderly, to sooth agitation in persons with
