Study And Pioneer On The Field Of Textile Engineering Essay

Back in 2009 after I completed my higher secondary education, I had to peruse the scope of different engineering disciplines. After a careful study I decided to study and pioneer on the field of Textile Engineering. Looking back, the main reasons behind this choice was my proclivity in the research regarding the clothing industry and the fact that the garment industry in Bangladesh was on its rise contributing heavily into the GDP. I completed my BSc in Textile engineering from Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), the only specialized and top ranked textile university in Bangladesh on Textile Engineering. My CGPA was 3.70 on a 4.00 scale and I secured the 8th position in the department. My final two years CGPA was 3.81 and 3.80 respectively.
Fast forward to 2016, I already am a Textile Engineer trying to aim for higher studies! I have gone through my life as a student and now I am the teacher! Coming this far wasn’t easy, I had to learn about manufacturing of yarn from fiber, manufacturing of woven and knitted fabric, pretreatment process, dyeing, printing and finishing of the fabric, apparel manufacturing, production planning and marketing of textiles, etc. My academic results of apparel manufacturing courses were extraordinary where I learned pattern making, marker making, fabric spreading, and cutting and sewing different garment parts to make ready-made garments.
