Many students around the world travel to study abroad as international students; however, traveling away for the first time may not be easy. Some students face difficulties such as adaptation and culture shocks because of the new environment just as food, weather, behaviors, language and culture. Students try to adapt to the new culture in different ways that take changeable periods of time depending on the student’s character. International students are more likely to suffer from physical and mental health problem as well as academic problem than native students (Lewthwaite, M. 1996). This figure shows that both genders believe that speaking the country’s language and a university’s society help to adapt to a new environment with an equal percentage. However, male tend to have international friends to help them to adapt more than female with 12%. Based on the result of the survey males are more quickly to adjust a new surroundings. However, there are many factors that may affect the result such as age and personality, students who are older than 24 are more likely to adjust faster than younger students especially who are social students.
