Student Tracking Research Paper

Many students have ditched school before having fun at parks or at home,but the schools have had enough of students not going to school.Since some students think it's alright to skip school, many schools have considered of tracking our movement with ID cards(Fox news U.S). Schools trying to keep their own students in check by tracking them is the most inferior idea because it will only tell students they’re prisoners. It may tell the Schools are protecting their own students and trying to keep in check, but the truth is they are only invading the privacy of their own students. For instance, A sophomore at a school in a texas high school said” It makes me uncomfortable, it’s an invasion of my privacy”(John jay). Also, The girls in the high schools of John jay high school and anson jones middle school say they always feel like their always being watched(Gonzalez). Many parents and people of the community of those texas high schools are protesting against their own children carrying tracking devices in and out of the school.The best thing of the schools would be to change the rule of carrying a tracking device. …show more content…
Students can hand over their own ID card to another student or friend to make it look like they’re in school(Annenberg). Students can also accidently drop their ID cards and lose them and it may end up in the hands of a wrong person(Andrea). The chips in the ID can broken if in the hands of kids and it could possibly elecurite them if say they wash their hands and it gets wet(Annesa).Students in the High school of Texas say they feel like prisoners and the school administrators are running a prison camp(Annenberg). For example, a student can forget their ID cards at home and the tracking would be useless if it isn't on them(Joshua).
