We are committed to many that we are bonded to, as a parent, wife and a daughter I am committed to love, care and do everything possible for the betterment of my loved ones. Being a crucial member in health care team, I am committed to provide the best quality care for my patients. As a student nurse, like any other student my goal was to finish my course and get a job. But when I started my career as a nurse, I was exposed to the reality. The exposure to the real world of sickness, pain and emotional trauma made me feel privileged and blessed to be a person who can touch their lives and make a change. I promised myself to work towards the goal of providing quality care to them. The strong will to make my patient comfortable and positive outcome has become a motivational factor to keep my commitment sustained. I have to spend my family time, give my comforts and sometimes financial burden may be the barriers to stay consistent. The sacrifices made to keep the commitment alive and the positive outcome will always keep you motivated and satisfied. Therefore, the positive elements are purpose, consistency, fulfillment of your calling, job satisfaction, elevated self-esteem, positive outlook towards life and overall a productive team player. The negative elements I faced usually are the misinterpreted actions and intentions, negative outcomes regardless of your commitment, non-recognition of efforts and lack of team support.
