Integrity within the student body helps enforce the honor code in the school community by showing one the correct way to have good morals. Overall the students are the main enforcers of the code. Without students effort in honoring the code the ability to increase their integrity could be jeopardized. An honor code can improve the academic integrity of the high school and students. Codes of honor help increase the honesty in the students by telling them what they can and cannot do, but also helps minimize the cheating and plagiarism found in papers by repeatedly expressing the consequences. Students expectations about the integrity of their classmates can determine whether the [high school] culture reinforces honesty. (Source C).
