Because many students do not want to personally identify themselves as lacking healthy coping strategies, they might not take advantage of the resources provided by the school and our team. This could lead to greater mental health issues later in life after stress levels have become toxic to the brain.
Because adults tend to ignore that students are susceptible to stress on a daily basis, many students are not provided with sufficient coping strategies in their homes or classrooms. As our (admittedly rushed) daily schedules only allow for a 30 minute Study Hall and a 40 minute lunch period to organize and conduct sessions, it is difficult for students to attend due to certain commitments they may have during this time.
