A recap on my life:

Spring Semester has been very busy, but it has been such a great Wolf ride-this week in particular. So many things have happened recently in my life that I just want to thank everyone who has taken the journey with me! The big highlights of the week include:
· Honored as ODK's Top Ten Freshman (Only ten students of the entire Freshman class at UMD recieve this honor)
· Selected as an Images Tour Guide! I will now have the opportunity to show perspective students why Maryland is the right fit for them and why I love it so much
· Attended Tea with Title IX- as a member of the Title IX Board Student Adivsory Board, I was invited to attend Tea with Title IX where I was able to discuss different policy improvements regarding Title IX on campus (huge shout out to NAN and Taylor for putting on a great event)

Big thanks to Nick Aramh for helping me in this huge univeristy wide endeavor. Charter Day is essentially UMD's birthday-on March 6th we put on an event with an attendance of over 400 individuals to sing happy birthday to our mascot, Testudo. It was a huge success and because of that we have now started a stapled tradition here at the University of Maryland. Special thanks for my mom and Aunt Reene for coming down to celebrate ❤️
· I was able to catch up with one of my favorites Alia and get to catch up on life! She was just recently awarded the Bud Thomas Award for her dedication and excellence in UMD SGA (Its a pretty huge

Summary of Activities Outside of our meeting on Sunday October 8th, I spent an hour looking up registration letters online, just to see what other examples are available. I was amazed at how many different registration styles there were. I coordinated with my classmates on clip art for the registration letter and downloaded the sample my professor uploaded for us. I completed the letter and I believe it’s perfect. I can’t wait for everyone to see it also.…

I had a spectacular day! Census was very low so there wasn’t much to do as far as case management, so Jamie and I got to spend some time just talking about things and why things are done the way they are. It was nice not rushing from patient to patient and just doing things without really understanding why something is done the way it is done and why. I knew the social worker at New Hope Rehab walked out last week and I decided to put myself out there and asked about spending some of my hours helping to fill the void of their missing social worker.…

Officer Collazo, I was your immediate supervisor since September 2, 2015, during which time you were assigned to the S2 patrol squad. During this time I quickly come to realize how dedicated of an officer you truly have become within the organization. “You will miss the best things if you keep your eyes shut” was once said by notorious author Dr. Seuss. I believe that if I would not have volunteered to be Mrs. Little’s cadet teacher I would not have opened my eyes to the education pathway. Though it may not be a perfect fit for me it is definitely one I should consider. I learned a lot from m experienced and I enjoyed working with students. I liked being able to help them understand the relationships that occur in science.…

Looking back a week later, the Young Democrats High School Leadership Academy was nowhere near what I imagined. And I mean that in a good way. I had an idea going into the conference of what I expected out of it: marketing, social media branding, touring, and networking. And yet, in hindsight, YDA HSLA was all of that, but immensely more.…

I had the pleasure of attending the first Asa Gray picnic of the year. The activity was supposed to be held at Utica College’s Rose Garden from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on September thirtieth, but it regrettably was rained out, and the event was instead held in the Donahue Auditorium at the same time and on the same day. I had a lot of fun at this activity, and I look forward to attending more Asa Gray meetings in the future due to this event. After much deliberation on my part, I ultimately decided to participate in this activity because it seemed like fun, and I wanted to meet some of the other science majors. In the beginning, I had no intention of going to the picnic, but my twin sister Skylar is a biology major, so it was mandatory for her…

This week, I really enjoyed listening to the lecture on AB and ABA designs. I have come to realize that lectures are very beneficial in an online program, even if they are video recorded. The instructor did an amazing job presenting the information, and she really kept my attention. I also enjoyed reading about professors who have attended FSU. That is confirmation that the sky is the limit for FSU graduates.…

I attended A Night in Africa Event on April 1st. It was a great opportunity to experience the elements of the various African cultures. I feel like in America we focus on the American black experience, but often forget that we have immigrants straight from Africa who are very in touch with that unique culture. It was very cool to see so many different students representing their country of origin. It was a great opportunity to learn about cultures I knew very little about, and to see UND students perform their talents.…
