Being a member of several committees such as the Student Services Leadership, Certified Emergency Response Team, SACS Accreditation Committee; the college’s Disability Services Counsel and others only reinforced my decision to become more than I was. Toward the end of my career I served at the Veterans Advisor where I worked with other veterans helping them to navigate the College Enrollment Process and to assist them when they are having trouble difficulties making the change from military to civilian life. For many service men and women their military careers that have little or no value in the civilian workplace, severe medical issues such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); devastating physical injuries have left many without the hope or desire for additional education to provide highly skilled positions for themselves and their families. It was at this time in my life that my former supervisor saw my talents and encouraged me to come to University of North Texas to complete my Bachelor Degree and continue my education further into a Master’s Program to be all I could be.
So why do I want to continue my education here at UNT? That’s easy to answer – the outstanding faculty in the higher education program who are widely recognized as experts

The loss I experienced affected me profoundly, which furthered my poor performance academically. Since my removal from the MSW program, I have used the time to cope and mourn the hardships I experienced. In addition, I maintained contact with one of the academic program advisers; in order to develop an academic plan that would lead me to success in completing my degree upon reinstatement.…

In this section of the project, I described the national problem, basis for choosing the problem, defined few topic-specific terms, implications of the problem, and problem as it relates to the research questions. In this study, I examined the problem of military transition to civilian life as it affects hundreds of thousand of veterans of the U.S. Military who have served our country but may have been discharged without sufficient receipt of resources and services to equip them. Stories about family hardship and history told from the older generation in my family are mostly ones of war. I have heard many different elements of war: war crimes, anticommunist sentiments, and the escape from Vietnam. Hearing these stories has always resonated with me, motivating me to work hard for the sacrifice of those before me. In that sense, I worked rigorously to provide myself an education from the College of Natural Sciences at the University of Texas and was excited about pursuing a professional health career.…

When an animal is conditioned to make an operant response to a definitive stimulus is referred to as discrimination training (Gray & Bjorklund, 2014). Herrnstein, Loveland and Cable (1976) argued that comparing the definitive stimuli commonly used in operant conditioning (100 Hz tones, 465 mµ lights) to real natural setting defy concept of responding to a specific stimuli. For example, in natural settings a squirrel will not only respond to acorns similar to the one presented on an image in a controlled lab experiment, the squirrels would respond to all colors and shaped acorns. They generalize the variety of acorns and discriminate other objects within their environment (Herrnstein, Loveland & Cable, 1976).…
