Student Athletes Should Not Be Paid

Only few college sports bring in an ample amount of money this year; football and basketball provide the largest intake of money for the NCAA. Sadly, less popular sports like track, golf, bowling, etc. has a very low intake of money each year. Critics could state that the NCAA could choose to only fund the money making sports. The problem with this consumption is that not all athletes will be paid, which will lead to lawsuits.
There are an abundance of negative reasons that college student athletes should not be paid. The first and most common fought his reason is the individuals are students, not businessmen. Participating in their selected sport is a choice, privilege, and co-curricular activity not a job. Yes, in most cases the student
