That system is preventative, focused on the causes of illnesses. Predominatingly these factors are mostly environmental and social, such as poverty, deprivation and exploration. That social model of medicine is supported by Marxists who believe that individuals are responsible for the lack of money and the stress so more likely that group of people will get sick, because of the poor lifestyle choices. That way of living- without any long-term aims, day by day is called an immediate gratification. Taking for instance a builder living at the Somerset Road in Coleraine who after finishing work everyday thinks only about spending his money on vodka. That individual does not think about his future, he only desires a short-term reward for his work. On the other hand an opposite example can be a engineer living at the Adelaide Avenue in Coleraine who buys a good quality wine and enjoys drinking a glass twice a week with a dinner. More likely the builder will have a liver failure than the engineer drinking fine alcohol
