Structural Frame
The structural frame of an organization is how the work within a company is divided and coordinated. It focuses on the architecture of the company. According to Bolman and Deal (2013), this includes the goals, roles, policies, technologies and the environment of the company.
The structural frame has six presumptions:
Organizations exist to achieve certain goals and objectives.
Efficiency is increased by specialization and appropriate division of labor.
Certain types of controls are used to ensure that individual efforts and unit efforts unite.
Organizations work best when the rational decisions made are above personal agendas and outside pressures. Effective organizations are using their current situation and resources as

A deep enough knowledge to be able to associate the impairments of the movement system to an underlying cause, like muscle weakness or limited range of joint motion.
To be able to design a program to repair the impairments of movement dysfunction and any underlying causes as well (APTA, 2015).
In addition to complying with these requirements, the person must also fall in one of the categories: Physical Therapist, Physical Life therapist, graduate student of PT. Most of the categories require the person to be a graduate in Physical therapy and to pay the dues. There is also a category for graduate students who wish to enroll in APTA.
The board of directors for APTA is compromised from 15 members, 6 of which are officers and 9 are directors. Board members are appointed and elected and they serve as a board member for 3 years before their term ends. Policies in APTA are made by The House of Delegates, who meet annually for 3 successive days to discuss important matters (APTA, 2017). The membership rights and privileges are included in the Appendix B, stating the policies and how to comply with them.

It is a good place for social networking, which is very necessary in a profession like PTs because they work with clients and always could expand their client base. While joining the association has a fee, it comes with benefits like the ones described earlier and also benefits like health insurance, and discounts to amenities, like car rental (APTA, 2017)
This organization’s management has a very strong human resources focus. APTA is consumer friendly as their website is easily accessible and provides PTs with all the information needed to join the organization. It shows the skills needed, the education and certification needed, as well as different payment plans. They also have sections for career development and plans to help college graduates join and start working as soon as they can. The website also provides members with a member directory, to make it easier for people in the organizations to communicate with each
