Some of ways are not so ethical in the society that we live in. The acts that are perpetrated rarely are publicly criticized. Only when the act or occupation is exotic is when the general public starts to criticize it. A popular occupation as such is strippers or exotic dancers. From its origins over two decades ago in North American exotic dance clubs, pole dance has consciously shed its striptease origins to become a global phenomenon (Dale). Men are more entertained by women exhibiting nudity than perhaps other women. The gaze mainly has a larger impact on men in the age group of early twenties and late thirties. Some men often times find themselves going to the strip club every weekend or every other weekend because of the pleasure they receive from it. My first time ever going to the strip club, I spent my whole check there (Ross). This benefits the strippers even more because it supplies them with a steady flow of income each week. The gaze can be beneficiary and harmful to society. It benefits strippers financially each week, but it also traps young men and women within the confines of worshiping someone else body, which results in the acts of spending thousands of dollars in one night at a strip
