Have you or somebody you know ever been abused? Do you know any individuals who have abused others? On the off chance that you do, you realize that the discipline given to the abusers is not enough for their actions. Society needs stricter laws and punishments for the abusers of sexual, physical, and mental abuse. These types of abuse are frequently ignored in our society. Individuals should not have the ability to get away with a small punishment and price to pay. Sexual, physical, and mental abuse are three of the main ways people are abused in our world today. There needs to be more focus on stopping this dangerous and harmful issue. According to ("Physical Abuse.") physical abuse is basically any form of harm or trauma to a human body caused by another individual. It can be as simple as slapping and punching another person or it could also be constantly beating up or tying up a person. Physical abuse is a form of bullying, infact it is probably one of the worst types of bullying. Physical abuse can also be considered a form of torture. Most people may think torture is worse but it is honestly the same thing for the most part. It is considered torture if one is harmed constantly without a break or end, or if the person doing the harm had it all planned out ahead of time. (Dictionary.com) States that “torture is the action or practice of inflicting severe pain on someone as a punishment or to force them to do or say something, for the pleasure of the person inflicting the pain.” This definition is very accurate and makes you think about how terrible torture and abuse really are because they are basically the same thing just sometimes done or thought of in different ways. People may ask why people physically harm others, and what makes them do such a thing. Physical abuse is also very hard to forget. It is one of the worst types because it can sometimes be the hardest to get over, this needs to come to a stop and we need to make the people that have done this to people sorry for what they have done.The author of the article ( "Psychological Abuse.") explains that there are many different names for Psychological Abuse. For example, people may call it mental abuse, emotional abuse, psychological violence, or psychological torture. No matter how one says it, they all mean the same thing. Mental abuse is not really what you may think of first when you hear the word abuse, but it is still very serious. Mental abuse takes place when someone is showing or telling someone something they did not want to see or hear.This may lead to anxiety, depression, or PTSD. ("Psychological Abuse.") Mentions that mental abuse may result in psychological trauma, including anxiety, chronic depression, or posttraumatic stress disorder. All of these things take a really long time to recover from, if you can even move past it. To me this is a lot like when people get bullied. The get used to it and they get torn down and depressed. Many don 't think it’s a big deal, but trust me when it happens to you it can be very scary, you feel alone and worthless just because of one person.
