safe. When the National Firearms act made there were things grandfathered over that allow
extremely dangerous weapons to still be a part of the public, such as machine guns, and short-
barreled rifles. The Attorney General makes decisions in regards of when weapons can be sold
by who, and who the weapons can be owned by when transferring weapons.(Law Center, 2013)
That makes one persons beliefs ruling over everyone in regards to weapons, this needs to be

It is easily the most
concealable weapon and anyone can walk on to a college campus and reek havoc easily, which is
frightening. The United States need to making stricter gun control laws especially for handguns
because of how unsafe they truly can be. This leads into the history and laws of gun control.
Today based on the past history regarding gun control, the laws are related to the Gun
Control act of 1968, and National Firearm Act of 1934. The National Firearms Act enables a tax

Justice, 2015) This pointing out obvious flaws in the United States attempts to have gun control,
it basically made the act unenforceable. Under the Gun Control Act of 1968, they fixed the flaw
in the National Firearm Act by making the requirement for possessors of unregistered firearms to
register removed, because there is no reason for them to register the weapon in the first place and
then getting into trouble with the law for it was unfair.(U.S. Department of Justice, 2015) They
fixed the law so that the possessor would not be penalized by law if the gun was not used in prior
crimes, making them able to register the weapon. There had to be changes made to the law if
people with unregistered weapons could get away from crime without any consequences, it
would just lead to everyone having unregistered weapons and no identification tools. Some of
the changes made in regard to the Haynes case was the requirements to register weapons,
because if it was already in possession of them unregistered there was not a reason to register
