Stress In John Medina's Brain Rules

Decent Essays
Chapter 4, Stress, of John Medina’s Brain Rules, I found to be tremendously accurate in showing and capturing all the effects that stress has on our bodies and the effects of stress long term physically and mentally. Pages 64-65 demonstrated both the physical effects, the immune system, and mental effects, memory and problem solving. How Medina writes about stress’s effects on people I found to be accurate and a good warning to people who are constantly stressed.

In my personal life, stress has had a major impact. I stress over school, work, family, exercise, and things I cannot control that I shouldn't be stressed over. With all the stress and worry I experience in my life, I have felt the link between stress and mental and physical health
