Stress is the psychological and physical effect of any challenging or threatening event that causes the feelings of worry especially when feeling under pressure. (Nordqvist, 2015). Even though individuals are not always affected negatively from the challenging events, they feel stressed when they have to change their routines to adapt to the new demands of their life. Stress has two components which are, a stressor and a stress response. A stressor is the event that causes stress and a stress response is individuals’ reaction to the event. Stressors can be within our control such as graduation, marriage, divorce, moving to a new country or beyond our control such as ilnesses, death of a loved one, poverty, traffic.
