Stress can be felt both in the mind and in the body. Although stress can come with negative effects, it should be noted that not all stress is necessarily bad.

Many students have class as early as eight in the morning and sometimes are not done with their days as late as nine in the afternoon. Having busy days like these means that once again you must plan ahead and make time to do your work so that you are not awake until late hours doing homework.
With all of this busy schedule and trying to manage your sleep, it is easy to forget to eat sometimes. This is not exactly the greatest thing to do, especially when you are battling stress. It is crucial for a student to be getting a good diet. Being on a good diet and drinking enough water helps in balancing your sleep and making sure you are getting enough hours at night.
Putting too much pressure on students to get their work done could potentially lead to mental diseases. Economist Daniel Einsberg from the university of Michigan suggested that by having resources on campus to help with students’ anxiety will decrease the amount of students dropping out. (Novotney). Having a good retention rate looks good for a college, therefore this alone should be a reason why universities would want to invest on counseling
