Stress Countless exhausted and overworked people especially those who suffer from headaches and pain usually blame it on diseases and illnesses; what they do not realize is that the discomfort and troubles they feel are due to their stressful lifestyle. Anyone can experience stress symptoms on a daily basis without truly knowing that it is being produced by stress. Americans are working long unstable hours in critically demanding jobs this causes more people to suffer from stress. Stress can contribute to several of today’s most common illnesses. It is important for the people suffering from stress and its effects to acknowledge those symptoms and act into managing them.
Stress can have dreadful and harmful effects on the body especially the heart. Studies show that one American dies every 40 seconds from cardiovascular disease, strokes are the third leading cause of deaths in the United States. More than 140,000 people die each year from a stroke in the United States according to the Online article “The Internet Stroke Center”. Stress causes tension particularly in the heart triggering high blood pressure, which eventually leads to hypertension. Patients with hypertension depend on a morning pill to keep their blood pressure stable. This puts more strain on the circulatory system which leads to future heart attack and/or coronary artery disease.
