Strep Throat can ruin plans for ten days or more. This story is about a girl, named Allieanna Norsteadt, who catches Strep Throat. She researches about Strep and gives a report to the class, when she returns back to school. Strep Throat is common in Mexico, Canada, and the United States. About two million people catch Strep Throat each year. Strep Throat killed many people in the 1700’s, but now the Americans have a cure. The cure for Strep Throat consists of antibiotics. Some people prefer to take oral antibiotics, while others prefer to have a shot, instead. This is the story about Allieanna’s adventure with Strep Throat. To begin with, Allieanna Norsteadt woke up with painful swallowing and said,” It’s nothing, mom doesn’t …show more content…
In Ms. Strickland’s class, Allieanna was talking to her friend, Soren Guttinghem, who had short, brown hair and green eyes. His uniform had a pink and gold plaid shirt with white pants and gold Saddle Oxfords. His hair looked combed back with gel. Soren said, “Allieanna, you look sick, call Nicky and go home!” She said,” Mom’s at work, so no one is available to pick me up.” Then, Allieanna threw up on her desk and had to leave school. Nicky picked her up and took her to the doctor’s office. Allieanna found out that she had Strep Throat. Allieanna had to take Amoxicillin for ten days and had to rest in bed at home. When Allieanna came home, she went right to sleep. Naturally, Allieanna didn’t go to school for the rest of the week. Allieanna began to feel better on Friday. Soren came over that afternoon to help with what she missed at school. Soren also gave her a box of “feel better soon” cards. When Nicky drove Soren home, Allieanna read the cards. Some said,” Miss you or see you when you come back!” When Allieanna went to school on Monday, she thanked everyone for the cards.
