Strengths Of Diversity

The issues of diversity and power that are illustrated in the group allowed my group to work in new ways that we have not worked before, however it brought a few challenges along with strengths. Some diversity in our group include, age, family roles, work schedules, traditional and non-traditional student status, socioeconomic status, and we all come from different areas in Maryland. The diversity in the group created a few challenges for us, however we all put in good efforts and attitudes and worked around each other’s schedules. Family roles and work schedules were the challenges that we faced in the group. In the beginning, we all were distant due to varying work, class, and family schedules. Also, there was a bit of confusion of the assignment its self in the beginning. However, once we all got an understanding of what we were doing, Kelly took on the leadership role and helped aid us in the right direction. The group managed to have all members informed either in person or through social media. We all worked together as a group to get the information and research of our non-profit organization.
In our group we have many strengths and a few weaknesses. However, our strengths outweigh our weaknesses within the group. The strengths of our group include being organized, good communicators, and good listeners. We all listened to each other and made sure each persons voice was heard. However, the main weakness of the group is that our schedules do not work with each other, and it was extremely hard to meet up. To minimize our weakness we could try harder and make the project more of a priority, in order to be able to open up our schedules. To maximize our strengths we could continue have excellent
