For example, the treaty made Germany pay for the reparations of the war. The league agreed to 6.6 million dollars that Germany had to pay. Article 231 meant that Germany had to take all of the blame for WWI. So German leaders were embarrassed of all their people in Germany. The treaty also took many of Germany’s original land, also reduced army to 100,000 and took away navy for good. Not only land they took, but with that they took 12.5% of Germany’s population. So they are really affecting German by taking their people. Most of Germany’s valuables were also taken away, like 2.16% of all of their coal.
