The article of Confederation was a good extent form of government to officially established the union of the thirteen states. Also to gain and spread power through all states and raise army's, be able to create fair laws and print money. The reason why is because when the colonists split from England they required a plan for government. So, they decided to create the Articles of Confederation, which is a constitution that gave little power to the federal government and a large amount to the individual states.
