My Personality Model (ENTP)

A collection of personality traits that are thought to occur together consistently, especially as determined by a certain pattern of responses to a personality inventory can be integrated together to form a rough estimate of a personality type. My personality type estimate is ENTP, known as the debater. The Meyers Briggs calls my type Dominant Extraverted Intuition. Uncompromisingly honest and always searching for others perspectives. The Meyers Briggs test 16 personality type is eerily accurate in describing my actions and thought processes. Original and spontaneous yet easily distracted, challenging the status quo or things that seem not worthwhile. Strengths of the ENTP are knowledgeable, quick thinking, creative brainstorming and being charismatic debaters. I definitely agree with those, although being knowledgeable requires diligence and organization to learn the relevant facts or information required to be a subject matter expect. Lacking in sensitivity while being intolerant, argumentative and having difficulty focusing are all things I would have described myself as. All of these where listed in ENTP’s weaknesses accordingly. I don’t necessarily think I am overly insensitive or intolerant but I do recognize these characteristics in myself. All of my experience in the work field has hinged on being charismatic and quick on my feet. I have been able to adapt to most circumstances and formulate a plan rather quickly. These types of skills are requisites to sales positions and will greatly benefit me in sensing, perceiving and giving the correct detailed response at the right moment during interactions with …show more content…
High potential traits inventory or HPTIs, were examined and it was determined that conscientiousness, curiosity, ambiguity, acceptance, courage and competitiveness are the biggest indicators of success in any field. Companies search for high potential traits because they spend time and money in developing employees and they want the most reward versus risk output. I do agree with this information as an outline or as the scientific approach to finding the best candidate.
