1. Organizational Strengths (5 points): Discuss the major strengths of the organization and the specific management of your location in regards to the way it hired, trained and managed its employees. In your opinion, was the organization doing a good job? Explain and be specific and in what areas. One major strength of the organization is that they make things happen for the member and they make members feel important and valued. The club host many events and makes sure all the banquets are exactly the way the member wants it. They take place a high importance on members and making sure they get what they need. In terms of management the best that I saw was in the kitchen. The chefs are very loyal to each other and create a good environment to work in. The head chef, Chef Glenn, is always helpful and kind in the ways he deals with employees and treats everyone well. If Chef Glenn does not like something or does not approve of something he makes sure he says it so that the member is given the best. Chef Glenn will also go out and talk to members about how things can be improved or changed which is a great quality in a manager. The country club could use some work in how they hire and train employees. The country club does not have an intense application process and they end up hiring people that would not be good at the job and then they fire them a week later. In order to save money and time it would be better to have a more intense application process so that they could weed out people better and find people that would be a good fit. It wasted time for many people that were training new employees because they would train someone that then would be fired the next week. For the training
