Strengths And Weaknesses Of Kpop

In the world of Kpop, there are groups that consist of talented idols who have strengths of many. Members of a kpop group have specific positions appointed towards them and their strengths. Amongst fans and the industry, there are 5 known positions: the leader, rapper, dancer, vocalist, and visual. It is important to acknowledge these positions because all together, they represent what a group is all about. For starters, the leader is known to be the most important position in a kpop group. However, not all groups have a leader. When this is the situation, the idols do tend to do well without them. Sometimes a new leader is chosen, but that is a rare option to go into effect. There’s the main, lead, and sub vocalist. The main vocalist has been known to have a superior vocal range and portray more to the song than the other vocalists. They will most likely have solo parts. They also have the ability to reach very distinct high notes. Challenging parts of a song are given to them. The lead vocalists are able to almost hit a high note. They are featured in the chorus of the song. They basically lead into it. However, they also don’t necessarily have to have the best voice. If the main vocalist were to be sick or out, then the lead vocalist would sub in. Some would think it would be the sub vocalist to be the sub, but they aren’t as developed. The sub vocalist supports the main vocalist in ad-libs and such. They can get little or no lines. For this reason, they mainly focus on dance. It’s not really considered a talent, but it is a major role besides the leader. This role is the visual. Whoever is appointed to have this role must take good care of their looks. They are known to be the most attractive and the “face” of the group. They even participate in local ads and commercials. This not only promotes the targeted product, this also promotes the group themselves. It is them that brings attention to the group. At least its most of the time good attention the group gets. This visual is also the one to most likely go on variety shows to again promote themselves and their group. Sometimes if they have the best vocals, dance, or rapping skills, then they will definitely be front and center. The only issue is, is that some fans or non-fans don’t agree with this chosen visual. It is the manager of the group that can choose this visual. However, when it comes to it, there could be ‘complications’. These complications are just plastic surgeries. Most companies don’t ‘believe’ in it, but some strongly do. Some visuals may have had surgery or not, but it is never confirmed either way. Once it has been known that the visual had received some type of procedure, this is when the fans riot even more than the disagreement of the chosen
