SWOT Analysis


Hertz is the one of the largest rental car brands and in overall reported revenues has captured the leading airport car rental brand market share in the US and in 120 European airports. It is also the second largest in the off-airport car rental market in the US. The company has an extensive network of rental locations in the US and in all major European markets. A total of 10,270 locations (corporate and franchisees) exist under Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty brands. (Marketline, 2013)

Hertz Equipment Rental is one of the largest rental companies in the US and Canada combined. It has approximately 340 branches in US, Canada, France, Spain, China, and Saudi Arabia as well as other international licensees. The strong position with in the market along with the global extensive global reach allows Hertz to provide quality service to its customers affording them with significant competitive advantage.
