Renaissance Education Essay

As the renaissance took place in Europe, there was questioning of how education transformed and challenged the people. Over time positive views neutralized as students realized they were only learning the basics. Soon negative views were gained, as workers were desperately needed and religion lost some value. At the point everyone noticed the flaws in the educational system and its challenges.

The renaissance was a time of prosperity and advancement which was a direct upbringing of the prior events that occurred . The value of education greatly increased as the black plague made them realize the great lack of knowledge that prevented them from advancing. Although the argument of education was not as violent, huge aspects of both events are similar to one another. Both of these events were new ideas introduced to the people, however not all of the civilians agreed with the ideas as a whole. Both of these ideas did not completely benefit all of the people as they would have wished they did, therefore leading to the disagreements and quarrelling of the people. In both of these events the people held strong beliefs and ideas to shift these ideas to their liking. Although the tried all their might, the idea of these events remained overall. As always both of these ideas ended up0 favoring the higher classes, simply because they were able to shift it to their liking and/or assist to them without a struggle.Generally, both of these events did not occur as they were planned to. In addition they both were lead by great leaders with different ideas which surprised the world at this time. None of these events were created for bad intentions, however many negative casualties did occur. In conclusion, Piccolomini and Erasmus both had different beliefs. Piccolomini believed that if people focused more on not just the basics that it would be able to improve their ethical values. Erasmus believed that it would be better for the students to just focus on one thing as for him it was literature. Erasmus didn’t want to be focusing on more than one thing because he felt that wasn’t the way to get their education. During the renaissance, students thoughts of education would change from time to time because they didn’t know that people had different beliefs on it. Students thought they were getting a good education but later on didn’t feel the same about what was being taught to them. They wanted to succeed, not to be put down for failure but the way their philosophers were stating things, they wanted them to
