Skyscraper Project Evaluation
Every individual in a team has his/her own strengths and weaknesses. As our team was organised accordingly, every member was contributing by using their strong characteristics to ensure the success of our project. Because we had a clearly defined goal, we were able to understand how linked and interdependent the people and the tasks are. This was the reason behind our good team work that helped us communicate and support each other. I will be briefly stating my individual contributions to the project in addition to the challenges I faced that taught me how I should work differently on my next project.
The first step we took as a team was discussing our strong and weak points,

I also learnt how important communication is for each team member. If we did not contact each other then we would not be able to use our strengths to support a team member who did not possess these strengths and so we would never be able to complete the project as the tasks depend on each other.
This project also helped me acquire useful information related to civil engineering. I learnt how to work out the centre of mass, how civil engineers are constantly challenged by the change in plans that pressurize them to become experts in making difficult decisions in a short period of time.
As this was the first time I participate in a project related to engineering, mistakes were unavoidable. In my next project I will try to better my communication skills towards each member to make sure everyone has an equal workload. I would also try and be more involved in the process of designing a product, this will enable me to become familiarized with software that will prove beneficial in my engineering

However, there were areas that could have been improved. While our team was able to fall into certain roles it may have been helpful to clearly define what each person’s contributions to the group were going to be from the start. This would have streamlined the prototyping stage and diminished the amount of redundant work that we did. Furthermore, ensuring that we as a group thoroughly understood the rules would have saved our group both; time and energy.…

You could say we went through the “forming” and “storming” stages of group work that semester. Second semester, after we had an opportunity to analyze each other’s strengths, we were able to work much more efficiently. We evolved into a united group with common goals, and this evolution is reflected in the deliverables we created in 732 to 752. We learned a lot about the questions to ask when designating roles on a project and paying attention to identify these strengths. We also learned about our own strengths in the process.…

Bustling streets, honking horns, lofty and colossal structures are what modern individuals envisage when they imagine a city. A vast majority of the population doesn’t even consider what the first recorded city in history was fabricated of, much less even consider what it took for the cities that they abide in to be constructed. Everything that exists in the modern world was made possible by the team of architects, engineers, estimators, project managers, and a myriad other construction workers who put their heads together to create something prodigious that would last for decades to come. Out of all the occupations in the various fields of construction I have chosen to pursue the field of electrical project management because of its more recent…
