Strength today is thought of having big biceps, six-pack abs and the ability to outmuscle anything when encountered with a problem. When the word strength comes up in conversation, people think that it means physical fitness. The definition of strength, however, goes far deeper than just the physical aspects. Strength is taking the time to study for the ACT and passing with an excellent score. Strength is willingly taking the blow for someone else’s mistake. Strength is holding back tears for the passing of a loved one while friends and family are crying their eyes out. The aspects of strength go way beyond the physical limit. When strength is needed, the human body goes into overdrive to do whatever it can to protect itself. Even though we become incarnations of super heroes it the body would not do anything without the mental power to push it. From the theory of evolution, to drafting the United States Constitution, the leading factor to these accomplishments is mental strength. The day a child is born to the day someone passes due to old age, the mind is constantly working every second. People possess the mental capacity to do amazing things, without these extraordinary feats, the world would be a different place entirely. Isaac Newton became the forefront of what we do in mathematics; he developed the basis of calculus. The first thing that is learned about Sir Isaac Newton is that he was the guy that had the apple fall on his head.
