Starbucks cares for the environment. The company invests in reducing power consumption by replacing all their high power consuming lamps with LED lighting. In addition to this, the company closely monitors heating in all its heating systems to ensure that no unnecessary losses.
Water is also a major component the company uses greatly. In conserving it, the company aims at eliminating dipper wells and avoids rinsing utensils using running water. The company also aims to install manual faucets in all its stores.
Climate changes from place to place and this has negatively affected the quality of coffee grown in different parts of the world. The global warming is also shaping happenings for the quality of coffee and this has caused Starbuck to stretch out measures that includes government agencies to aid in conserving environment (Ferrell & John 2014, pp. 398).
