Strategic Management is comprised of the decisions and actions that yield the formulation and implementation of a plan designed to achieve an organizations goals (Pearce & Robinson, 2011, p. 3). When leaders utilizing and implement the topics involved in this subject matter, organizational and managerial success will come to fruition. Additionally, the company could also execute a joint venture with Liebherr, a refrigerator and technology company, in order to reduce the amount of assets and capital needed to run the organization. The purpose of the joint venture allows the two organizations to work together for a mutual benefit, as well as, enables growth and profitability without having to borrow much capital. Moreover, the joint ventures helps to reduce risk, thus Hair can utilize the JV short term or until its operations turnaround. The company divesture strategy could include considering operations in Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines as they are losing market share to the local organizations and profitability is not realized. …show more content…
This class will afford me the opportunity to evaluate an organizations internal and external environment, match the resources in the appropriate fashion, and set short and long term objectives that will drive success and sustainability for an organization. Additionally, this class will prepare me to be a more effective, proficient, and competent leader, who can change the culture and direction of the organization by working with and through people.
