Based on this study high demands of special care is needed to work with this particular population among the Iranian people. Providing service to this population through therapy can really support this group, though with Strategic Family Therapy it would do no benefit. Based on how this therapy focuses on the “here and now”, this population must be helped using other methods of therapy to provide provision. Depression seems to be one of the most problematic issue among Iranian population and Strategic Family Therapy can have the solution for assisting this matter. Based on my own personal experience with this population this therapy could benefit most clients that seek help in therapy. The great outcomes established from Strategic Family Therapy gave me insight about using this therapy among the Iranian population. Based on research for this therapy there is a significant focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and how it seems to be working well among this population. Due to lack of data we could not conclude that this particular theory might not fit well with this population, though looking at the therapy itself, and there are many great elements in which are useful. Picking this therapy was very difficult choice among all because I have to consider all the factors that could not make it work. The intervention in this particular theory validates with most of cultural expectation among Iranian families. By means of using social context and social relation to helping clients is one of major importance of this therapy that could be advantageous in Strategic Family Therapy for the Iranian population rather than using Cognitive Behavioral …show more content…
The lack of research could be due to lack of knowledge about this therapy for the Iranian population. I believe that there are other therapies that could be a benefit for this population, nevertheless Strategic Family Therapy seems to have better treatment based on most of issues that are needed to be acknowledged. Overall this research paper gave me a great understanding on what happens been research among the Iranian population. There are many therapies that could work with the Iranian population, however Strategic Family Therapy would be a great resource to use in order to help clients. Learning more about this particular theory is becoming fascinating to me and it is becoming something that I am interested to do further research
