In my community our local elementary schools have assemblies on what “stranger danger” is and to not go anywhere with someone you do not know. I did not have this assembly when I was in elementary school, but I do think it is a great thing to have. I also think it is sad that elementary schools need assemblies like this, which in my opinion, bring fear into young children. I feel like the media plays a huge role in my attitude towards this population. There is always a story on the news of a child who was kidnapped and sexually assaulted, or a step-parent is facing jail time for sexually assaulting their step-child. Also in the media are all these stories of child pornography online, and how sometimes the law cannot do anything about it, which
