Stop Googling Let's Talk Analysis

Not everyone have cell phones or any other electronic devices such as computers and tablets to use in the world nowadays. Luckily, people who do not have cell phones or other electronic devices to use can avoid radiation in order to protect their eyes. So, even without cell phones, people still can have conversations with others. According to the article “Stop Googling. Let’s Talk”, published in the New York Times, the author Sterry Turkle mentions that “face-to-face conversation” is a better choice for people gathering together as an “unitasking”. Turkle mentions that “unitasking” is a way for people to get together and have a conversation, and it does not matter how much time they spend during the meeting. Turkle mentions that conversation is a good thing because it makes people to have a closer relationship. Turkle states that “AVIRTUOUS circle links conversation to the capacity for self-reflection…conversation with other people, both in intimate settings and in larger social groups, leads us to become better inner dialogue” (par. 17). In other words, this expresses that a nice person can help people get into ego rethinking on a conversation. Moreover, when having a conversation with other people, people can develop a closer position and interpersonal relation outside the society, so it is valuable for people develop inner relationships with other people. Turkle also asserts that conversation is a good thing because it can make people to make sure who we are and needs these skills to present in the conversation. In addition, if people know “face-to-face conversation” is important than text in phone as a conversation, then it is easier for people to know what will they do for the next step which alone some challenges in these processes, so then it can trend into a good claim of value. Conversation is valuable for people because of friendships. Tuekle states that “To reclaim conversation for yourself, your friendships and society, push back against viewing the world as one giant app” (par. 29). In other words, this shows that in order to claim on the conversation again for yourself, friends, and people outside the society, people needed to fight with world of building better interpersonal relationships.
