Stop Feed Birds Analysis

People feed birds every day whether they leave bread crumbs on their patio or lay crackers on their front porch. No one could tell that what they were doing affected the bird that ate the food. The topic of whether humans should feed the birds or let the bird find the food it needs itself has been an ongoing debate. Humans should not feed the birds because the birds will soon depend on humans and certain foods can be hazardous to the birds. First, the birds will turn to humans in the future if people do not discontinue the habit of feeding the birds. The bird will adapt to human interaction, and it will slowly lose its hunting capabilities. This issue is discussed in the passage, “Stop Feeding Wild Birds.” The author writes that birds should be following their natural path and getting food on the way, but nowadays birds change their route to feeding stations. The birds, then, linger and receive food every day from humans rather than flying back to its respective migration spot.
