In this research paper, I would like to explain the strategy to prevent a crime known as the Neighbourhood Watch Program. The paper explains the objective of the Neighbourhood Watch Program and its implications to control or prevent the crime. The paper also compares the strengths and weakness of the Neighbourhood Watch Program. The paper explains the impact of Neighbourhood Watch Program on society daily lives.
Neighbourhood Watch Program is also called as the community crime prevention program, Block Watch Program, and more. Neighbourhood Watch Program is a community crime prevention strategy that was begun in 1972 with the help of National Sheriffs’ Association. The National Sheriffs’ Association encourage residents to work on their neighbourhood trouble, look out for each other and make community safer.
Neighbourhood Watch Program means neighbours helping other neighbours to prevent or report a crime. Neighbourhood Watch Program is aimed to prevent a crime with the help of other neighbours and to look out for each other. Neighbourhood Watch Program is the program hold by the police officers or crime prevention officers to teach residents to become responsible and accountable to prevent crime and their safety. Members of the Neighbourhood Watch Program have some responsibilities which include to be alert all the time, watch out for their neighbours, and report any illegal incidents to the police.
