The game StockTrak was entertaining, educative, and very addictive. Before I started playing the game I went on IPOSCOOP.com to check the firm that became public during the last year. When I took applied statistics I did a project on Minitab to see if I could predict the price of an IPO price at the end of their first day. I use several variables to help my prediction like the closing NASDAQ, DOW, and S&P index of the night before and the industry of the firm. Therefore, I thought it was a good place to start my search for information.

I also bought stocks when the price was between $105 and $110. My portfolio percentage return was thriving. I wanted to get a higher return faster so I invested more money, I started to buy company stocks with lower beta, although I lost because those stocks were staying below what I paid. Once we learned about the futures I did a purchase to see how it works. I bought Canadian currency futures and shorted the American dollars index. This was before the election. When I was making a profit I sold and covered the futures and bought gold, silver and copper futures. I made again a profit with those. On election night I was watching the results I saw that futures for indices were sinking, therefore I decided to buy more metals futures before going to bed.
