Stock photography is about images that are licensed for a particular use. These images are used for advertising, web designing and magazines to name a few. Traditional stock and micro stock photography are very different. Traditional stock photography is often taken by professionals because they are usually the ones that are aware of what stock agencies are looking for. Micro stock agencies are open to a much wider range of photographers not only pros. They permit photographs with less quality and that makes their prices low.

The presentation of the photograph can help it cause an impact on the people that see it. That is why the presentation must be uncluttered and simple. The art photographer can choose where he or she wants to frame the photograph or leave it without glass. They also sign their work on the lower right of the photo. The photographs are printed on high quality paper and if you choose to frame the photo to pick a simple frame so that all the attention goes to the photograph itself.

Noise in a photograph is the presence specks of color in places within the photograph. A reason that this can happen is if the ISO of the photograph is too high or there is long exposure. Stock images are supposed to be the highest quality possible. They are usually enlarged so the agencies are very concerned when it comes to noise.
