Stock Car Driving Is Bad

Great Essays
Stock car driving is a man’s game, right? Wrong.

Some people assume that only a real man’s man can speed along the tracks, executing sharp turns while burning rubber and leaving skid marks. Those people, however, have never encountered Danica Patrick.

For those of you who don’t know, Danica Patrick is one of the most successful female stock car drivers in the world. She has been driving professionally since the late 1990s and in that time has established herself as one of the most dominant names in the industry. She has also enjoyed a colorful career outside of stock car racing, using her acting chops to score roles in televisions shows such as CSI: NY and The Simpsons. She has also appeared as a guest on The Late Show with David Letterman

To support this belief, we would like to enter into evidence these 15 pictures of Danica Patrick that are hot AF.

15. In Memoriam -

This picture was posted by Danica Patrick last Memorial Day and shows her post-workout. She is clad in an orange sports bra and a black pair of Lycra tights, which cling to her body as if they were painted on. Sweat drips from her broad shoulders and onto her breasts and abs.

While some might find it distasteful to post such a picture on Memorial Day, it is important to note that Patrick was paying homage to Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, who was killed in Afghanistan at just 29 years of age. The workout she completed prior to taking this picture was one designed by Lieutenant Murphy himself and featured 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and two one mile runs (one to begin the workout and one to end it). When he was alive, Murphy Christened the workout “Body Armor”, but Patrick took it upon herself to rename it “Murph” in her fallen friend’s honor.

If you can get over the grammatical errors, it’s hard not to admire Patrick after reading the post. Her work ethic is something we should all attempt to recreate. She has already made her fortune and achieved everything she set out to achieve two decades ago. She could easily retire and never work again, but she remains totally committed to her craft and being the best she can possibly be.

12. Dog Eat Dog -

Having competed as a professional athlete for so long, Danica Patrick knows that it is a dog eat dog world. There is always somebody else waiting to take your spot, which is why it is so important for her to remain at the top of her game. This picture was taken after one of her infamously intense workouts which featured bench press, assault bike, double unders, and a bunch of other stuff that I’ve never heard of but know I couldn’t possibly do. And that was all after starting the day with a 25 minute cardio session.

As a result of her borderline insane exercise routine, Patrick is pictured here draped in sweat, her black workout gear struggling to cover her various bulging muscles. Standing in her kitchen, she is accompanied by her two dogs, Dallas and Ella, but you probably didn’t notice them…
