Greg had been in multiple bands over the years. He even worked at Disney World as a performer. In the 70's he met his lifelong best friend Bruce Barns. Bruce was a tremendous musician who played drums. Years later they met Jeff Waddell who became another close friend. All three friends spent years playing in bands together, as well as, making and recording their own music.

All three best friends worked together for a while. Bruce and Greg were real estate agents while living in Florida in 1996. Then everyone moved up to Washington State and Oregon to work for G.S.T. Telecoms. Jeff was building an agent channel program at time whereas Greg was an agent manager. Around 2005 Greg branched out to Dallas Texas along with his family. During the time he was working in the Telecom Industry, he was one of the hardest working employees.

Anyone who knew Greg would mention his kind hearted personality. His generosity emerged at a young age. Greg gave money to close friends when they were tight on money. Also, not with just money, but with acts of kindness. While the Stilwell family lived in Washington State, Greg spent his spare time fixing an old beat up home. He would always call it "The Dump House". There is no doubt that this passed on to people who knew Greg
