The poem “Always Are You” is about the speaker admiring the beauty of a lady and telling her to notice the beauty within herself. Line 1 begins with, “Always clothed in dignity, are you” here we see a description of the person whom the speaker is addressing. The speaker describes the lady that is dressed with dignity, but goes on to state that the lady knew that she was lovelier than the occasion.
