We had to learn some important concepts that were vital to the creation of this project. For example, we had to quickly learn how to use the pastels without getting the dust all over the other parts of the artwork. We also had to learn how to do the shadows and control shade the drawings. Of course, we needed to draw the objects, but we needed to do it with glue. They were all somewhat briefly introduced, and they were all needed to make the artwork, or else it wouldn't have been completed.
First, we had to draw the objects on a white paper with pencil from a smaller picture. Then, we used that as a model to draw the the objects in the Still Life with glue. After drying them, we simply used soft pastels in order to color in the objects. We …show more content…
The glue also brought me my biggest flaw in craftmanship: It dripped and the entire artwork looked like it was melting. A pomegrante even looked like it was shedding a tear. My favorite part, however, was the coloring with pastels. Even though it could be a bit difficult to shade, it still seemed extremely easy to apply the colors onto the paper and blend similar colors
