Still Horrific Events Of The Holocaust

“Those who forget history are bound to repeat it” It has been noted that in the history of mankind, people who forget their heritage may repeat it. Such as feudal Japan and then feudal Europe. But in all honesty, if you do not want to remember what shaped the world to what it is, then why teach history at all? I know that history may not be the most active class, but the students will learn about it one way or another. “Denying someone something makes them want it more”
It is plainly obvious that if you withhold information from someone, they are bound to be curious and want to learn more about the topic. And if students do come across an article about the horrific events of the Holocaust, they would be mildly traumatized. So how about

Events, such as the Holocaust, shaped the world to be what is it today. In that respect, it is no worse than the prohibition tax or other lessons learned from history. . Learning is part of our human nature and there is no way to stop that especially with the current news outlets available today 24/7..

“Aren’t there still horrific events going on in the world now?”
The way we are willing to focus on this one event in history, and not on any current event shocks me. Now, we all know that the Holocaust is of course, a very dark matter, but so are current events. But, these topics will be freely available for kids, while we still talk about teaching this one subject. As a society, we need to stop pin pointing specific things and just take a step back to look at the big picture.

“And what about the horrific events before

The Crusades, World War I, the Great Depression, the list goes on and on, while we all just sit here in our own little world being completely ignorant of the other issues we will face when teaching anything like this.
I realize that this issue is pressing, but we all need to look past the horrific side of things and still teach kids about its significance. we also need to make sure, by the lessons learned, that it will never happen again. Let me ask you a question. You learned about the Holocaust, right? And you are just fine, right? So, how will keeping these teachings have a negative impact? Isn’t intelligent discussion and even debate good?

“Those who forget history are bound to repeat it”
To be blunt, ignoring what made the world what it is, is just ignorant and flat out wrong.
We owe it to these horrific event survivors to make sure that their stories are heard, and not forgotten. I would normally keep going on this point, but I have faith that all of you will want the Holocaust to be taught. It takes the smartest man to realize there is still more to

The Holocaust is a subject that is overlooked, misunderstood, and disregarded. Students do get taught about it in school, but it generally becomes a subject that people avoid discussing because they don’t want to offend someone. It soon became a subject that was too daunting and too terrifying to be thought of. People can’t even try to fathom the kind of evil it must take to degrade humans the way the Nazis did during the war, that they just stopped thinking about it all together. Some people even convinced themselves that the Holocaust never happened.…

Relieved to enter the air conditioned museum on a humid August day, we walked through security, regular occurrence after perusing the multitude of other museums on the National Mall that day. Though I previously visited the Holocaust Museum on the Dake Washington DC trip, two friends accompanied me who showed no interest in the contents of this memorial practicing their speed walking skills more than the information on the plaques. Tourists filled the atrium. My mom and her friend, Laurie, stood in line to get our tickets, while the four of us teenagers plus a French exchange student walked through an exhibit called “Daniel’s Story” targeted towards a younger audience. Once our time came to enter the museum, the museum attendants hoarded…

Should schools teach about the Holocaust? I absolutely think that schools should teach about the Holocaust because people need to know what happened and how millions of Jews died. 1939-1945 was a very difficult and heartbreaking time for non German people, mostly Jewish people. Hitler thought Germans were superior, if someone didn’t have blue eyes, blond hair, and weren’t German, Germans wanted to get rid of them. Jewish people were forced out of their homes and taken to camps and or the ghetto.…

“The holocaust is very much alive. The wounds are still there. The scars are still there. The influence is still there”- Avner Shalev. Although some argue that the Jews created the Holocaust story to get sympathy and to promote themselves, many believe that the holocaust was an actual event that it should not be denied due to the fact that it is prone to happen again, it was one of the biggest misfortune that ever happened, and why do people deny the holocaust.…

Elie Wiesel once stated,” For the dead and the living, we must bear witness.” The Holocaust started in 1932 and ended in 1945.The Nazis did not like the Jewish citizens, and blamed them for everything. The most common reason was religious beliefs. In the beginning, there was not that much violence, but then the Jews started to lose many privileges. Such as, losing the right to own a business, stay out late, own their homes, and eat any animal products.…

Why should future generations know about the holocaust? The Holocaust was an unquestionable powerful event that all started with Hitler and the Nazis in Germany. Not only German Jews but all Jews were killed just because Hitler thought they didn’t match the characteristics of a natural born German Jew. This was such a tragic event that it should be widely known by all generations. People and children of younger generations should all be aware that this happened in order to stop future events such as the Holocaust to happen again.…

One of the main reasons of why people are still committing genocide, why racism and the bystander effect still exists, why this world still isn’t at peace, is because the things we learn from the Holocaust and many horrible events before and after that are not being mentioned enough times. We need to talk more about it and make people, whether they are the victim or the perpetrator, realize that if we stop mentioning these types of topics, then it can result to be so much worse than it already was and…
